Interior design and renovation at MM Apartment
MM Apartment is an apartment that has stood for about fifteen years. Before the renovation it already had a complete structure: walls, floor levels, circulation, and rooms shaped by a different way of living.
The project did not begin by laying a new image over that structure. It began by looking at what was there and working out what genuinely needed to change.
Some walls were kept. Others were removed where they no longer fitted. Openings that had been cut apart were joined up again. New elements — cabinetry, glass doors and furniture — were placed where they were needed, instead of adding further layers of partition walls.
The change in the apartment therefore comes not from rebuilding it entirely but from reorganising the relationships it already had.

Renovation as a continuation
MM Apartment was not formed from a blank plan. It began with the walls it already had, the spaces it already had, its two existing aspects and a life that was already being lived in it.
